It’s often said, “You don’t get a second chance to make a first impression.” The photo below contains a partial list of the first impression my fellow actors perceived of me during our first acting session. There were about twenty of us in the class, and we all took turns to jot down our first impression of each other. Of course, these impressions are debatable. The reality is, whether we like it or not, we get judged based on our appearance and the moment we open our mouth to speak. I’m more cognizant of how I project myself and the impression I make because of this exercise. In addition, this exercise reinforced the importance of being prepared and presentable at all times.
